Located in southwest Hamedan and on the skirts of the Alvand mountain, lies a little hill which has become one of the most captivating tourist sites in Hamedan, its name being “Abbas Abad hill”. In past it was called “ Neghare Khaneh’s hill” because whenever a king’s mood changed, the court’s musicians and drummers notified the people of this, so the name “ Neghare Khaneh” ( meaning a place for playing “naqareh”, a middle eastern drum ).
This hill which is now only used for tourist attraction, was developed during the service of one of the most famous mayors of the city, i.e. “ Mohammad Behnamju” (1986-1991) and during the last few decades it was renovated under Alisadr programs.
